Why did you choose the different pictures or background(s)?
There are four distinct backgrounds in the comic. The first one is the background of a bar. This was used to show that the man character has been drinking liquor. The second scene is that of a road. This was used to show the association between drunk driving and drunk flying. The third scene has the background of a clear blue sky, to show that it was taking place in the air. The fourth and final scene has the background of a cemetery, to show that the drunk bird had been hit by the plane and was deceased.
How do they contribute to the elements (plot, setting, characterization) of your narrative?
The bar illustrates very clearly that the main character had been drinking liquor. (Plot)
The final scene of the cemetery conveys the sombre and depressing outcome of drink driving, death.( Setting)
The blue bird is the reflection of the obstinate drivers who drink and drive, ultimately harming the people around them and themselves while driving. (Characterization)
How did you make use of the different elements to contribute to the theme you have chosen?
The plot is very striking as there is death involved to show the viewer the grim reality of drink driving.
The setting is also that of the very places where drink drivers will be, outlining the "process" of drink driving. The pub is where it all starts, followed by getting into your car and starting your engine, getting onto the open road, being hit or hitting someone else's vehicle and death.
Characterization of the blue bird as the drunk driver can show how ridiculous there are under the influence of alcohol and how logic eludes them after drinking.

Good comic there Sean. However, I would like to point out that drink driving does not necessarily mean a collision with other vehicles. Drink driving would also result in other kinds of freak accidents like the car getting driven off the kerb, overturning and ultimately causing the driver to get squished and die. Anyways, I enjoyed your short comic strip very much. Thank you.
Very interesting and short comic. It has the short and sweet effect and brings out the theme very clearly to the viewer. Good job Sean! I would enjoy it more if you could make it more specific with more quoting although it would not be a comic that way. Anyway, feel free to comment on my blog at www.love-hwachong.blogspot.com when you are free. Thanks!
Hey sean! interesting comic. Instead of drink-driving, the bird is drink-flying. As you can see, drink-driving or drink-flying can be really dangerous and harms not only you but the rest around you! The bird crashed into the plane which may cause the plane to crash killing hundreds!!!
This is a rather intriguing comic, and instead of using human character in your drink & drive accident, you transformed them into birds, but at the same time convey the same story and idea.I have never seen such a comic like yours before.Kudos to your good characterisation of your bird characters.Keep up the good work.
You are detailed, that's good. I feel that to elaborate on drunk-driving more, you could put a frame whereby just before the crash, the bird has a short moment of regret before dying. By the way, I thought if the bird got sucked into the engine, or crashed into the body of the plane,it would have been destroyed to smithereens.
This is a good comic. The comic conveyed the message very clearly that drink driving kills. I like the way you used birds to represent people. Good job and keep it up sean!!
That was an entertaining comic strip. I like the part where you showed how drunk the bird was by adding 'hic' to the dialogs. But I would like to post a question: I heard that when birds went into the engine of planes, the plane would crash, so may I know if the plane crashed in the end?
I love you comic!! It's extremely interesting, though it makes people laugh, this comic has brought a very good message to everyone. Good idea there, keep it up! :)
